Youth Ministry Resources are a very broad category of items available to assist student pastors in doing the work they have been called to. It is important to understand this and what is included in these categories so that you can know what is available and not miss out on any opportunities. I am not sure that you could ever have a truly exhaustive list of all these resources so here I will just try to summarize a few of the major categories. One category of resources is sermons. These are the lessons you would teach from the stage on a Sunday morning or during a midweek service. Often times these sermons now come packaged with PowerPoint presentations. Another category is games. These can both be PowerPoint trivia games or more wild and crazy games you might play outdoors or to open an event. It is always good to have catalog of these handy and available. Another category is Bible studies. Unlike sermons, these are more geared towards something your small group leaders would teach to your students or something the students might study themselves. Basically it is that idea of going from large group to discipleship. Finally, there are administrative resources. For better or worse, this is a job and there are things we have to keep up with and keep organized. The great thing about these resources is that someone has usually already created them for you and can save you loads of time and lots of headaches from having to do something you do not really enjoy. Hopefully, this gives you a glimpse into what resources available so you can now go out and find all that you need.
